INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CODE (IPC) LETTER

Dear Member,

As you may have heard, the Intellectual Property Code (IPC) was put into effect last Jan. 1998. For us this means that we are entitled to renumeration or payment whenever our performances, fixed on CD cassette, video, etc. are communicated to the public. This applies whether you are the featured performer or non-featured (backup musician, orchestra member, etc). The Phonogram Producers and Performers Society of the Philippines will be put up shortly as our collective agency.We strongly advice that you join to protect your rights under the IPC. We will keep you informed regarding this. For now may we request you to submit the following information to our office.

Please understand that our ability to collect will depend  on the accuracy of our information. May we also request that you keep a personal record of performances specially those fixed on CD, cassette and video as follows:
