Profiles: Darwin Keith S. Guingon

Studied the bassoon in 1991 under Severino Ramirez, In 1998, he won 2nd prize, Woodwind Category C at the NAMCYA. He joined the PYO in 1993-95, then the MYSO in 1995, and later with the "The Woodwind Five", of which he is a co-founder. He earned a diploma n Creative and Performing Musical Arts at the University of the Phils.

"Keith" as they call him became one of the featured soloist at the CCP main theater last June 29, 1999 of which they played the Hadyn's Symphony Concertante.

Darwin is also an active member of one of the country's top concert band, The Cabiao Youth Concert Band "88".

Through the years of extensive training and experience, Darwin is considered as an erudite musician. At present, he is member of the Manila Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra and an active member of the Asosasyon ng Musikong Pilipino Inc.
