Profiles: Arturo T. Molina

Noted as one of the leading violinists in the Philippines today, Arturo T. Molina has led practically all the major orchestras of the country, from the Philippine Youth Orchestra to the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra.

He was granted a 3-year scholarship at the conservatory of Moscow and the conservatory of Kiev. Here, he emerged as the first foreigner to win the String Department Competition in Kiev. As a teacher, he was invited to tutor in the ASEAN Music Workshop and the Asian Youth Orchestra. He currently conducts and trains the MYSO together with Prof. Manalo.

He is also a co-founder of the Battig Piano Trio, the resident chamber group of St. Scholasticas's College.
